EXPERIENCE ILIGAN VIDEO MAKING CONTEST

 

Experience Iligan Video Making Contest is an open video making contest organized by the Iligan Bloggers Society, Inc. in line with the celebration of the City’s annual Diyandi Festival. Videographers from around the country are invited to create videos showcasing Iligan City.

The contest seeks to create a medium, by means of a short video (not more than 2 minutes), which will best highlight the beauty of lligan City.

 

Guidelines and Mechanics

Eligibility: Experience Iligan Video Contest (the “Contest”) is open only to legal residents of the Philippines. IBS, Inc. members as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such organization member are not eligible. Subject to all applicable state, provincial, territorial, municipal, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.

Agreement to Official Rules: Participation in this Contest constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsor’s and Administrator’s decisio ns, which are final and binding in all matters related to this Contest. Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

Timing: The Contest begins on September 1, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. Philippine Standard Time (“PST”), ends on September 28, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. PST (the “Contest Period”).

How to Enter: Upload and submit one (1) video to iliganbloggers@gmail.com, hereafter referred to as your submission (“Submission”). By uploading your Submission, you agree that your Submission conforms to the Video Guidelines and Content Restrictions as defined below (collectively, the “Guidelines and Restrictions”) and that Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may remove your Submission and disqualify you from the Contest if it believes that your Submission fails to conform to the Guidelines and Restrictions.

Contest Theme: The video must feature Iligan City as a prime tourist destination. Entries may not contain obscene, violent or defamatory images or text. Entrants must come up with their own slogan to accompany and conceptualize their submissions in addition to the “Experience Iligan” tagline.

Video Guidelines:

  • Video Format: H.264 or MPEG-4
  • Resolution: Full HD (1920×1080)
  • Audio Format: MP3 or AAC
  • Frames per second: 30fps, 25fps, 24fps
  • Maximum length: 2 minutes
  • Maximum file size: 300MB

 

Content Restrictions:

  • The Submission must comply with the Facebook standards
  • The Submission must not contain material that violates or infringes another’s rights, including but not limited to privacy, publicity or intellectual property rights, or that constitutes copyright infringement;
  • The Submission must not disparage Sponsor, Administrator or any other person or party affiliated with the Contest;
  • The Submission must not contain images or artwork not created by entrant;
  • The Submission must not contain material that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene hateful, tortuous, defamatory, slanderous or libelous;
  • The Submission must not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age; and
  • The Submission must not contain material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any state where Submission is created.

 

Limit: Each participant is only allowed one (1) submission. Submissions received from any person or email address in excess of the stated limit will be void. Submissions generated by script, macro or other automated means are void. Entrant must have permission from all individuals that appear in the Submissions (if any) to use their name and likeness in the Submissions and to grant the rights set forth herein. If requested, entrant must be able to provide such permissions in a form acceptable to Sponsor. Uploading a Submission constitutes entrant’s consent to give

IBS Inc. a royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, create derivative works from, and display such Submission, in whole or in part, on a worldwide basis, and to incorporate it into other works, in any form, media or technology now known or later developed, including may be required for Sponsor or its designees to make use of the non-exclusive rights entrant is granting to use the Submission. Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, stolen, damaged, incomplete, invalid, un-intelligible, garbled, delayed or misdirected Submission; all of which will be void.

In the event of a dispute as to any Submission, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person assigned an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted address. Each entrant may be required to show proof of being an authorized account holder.

Prizes:

1st Prize           –           PHP 6,000.00 cash
2nd Prize         –           PHP 4,000.00 cash
3rd Prize          –           PHP 2,000.00 cash
People’s Choice:          PHP 2,000.00 cash

Winners will be notified by mail, email or phone on or around September 30, 2016.

Judging: A panel of qualified judges determined by IBS Inc. in its sole discretion will evaluate the

Submissions based on the following criteria (“Judging Criteria”):

  • Creativity                    (20%)
  • Editing                         (25%)
  • Cinematography        (15%)
  • Audio                           (15%)
  • Subject Variety           (15%)
  • Overall Impact           (10%)

 

Release: By receipt of any prize, winner agrees to release and hold harmless the Sponsor, Facebook, and their respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, and each of their respective parent companies and each such company’s officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively , the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.

IBS, Inc. Opens Application for Waterfalling Adventure 2.0

ILIGAN CITY, PHILIPPINES, August 18, 2013 – Iligan City, the City of Majestic Waterfalls, will soon be in full celebration of the month-long Diyandi Festival in September. Along with its activities, Iligan Bloggers Society, Inc. will hold Waterfalling Adventure Tour 2.0 on September 18-22, 2013. This event will not only invite and accommodate bloggers and digital influencers to #ExperienceIligan, but also mobilize the locals for an online campaign and a call for action to further cement Illigan City’s presence in the internet, with the support of local establishments in the city.

During the tour, the guests will to conquer seven (7) waterfalls, taste the food, get the feel of the city, and celebrate the Iliganons’ Diyandi Festival.
